A "Sound Bath" Meditation is all about energy, frequency & vibration.
It is a very therapeutic form of meditation because you’re literally being "bathed" in sound waves. As these sound waves wash over your body, they move the brain from the beta and into alpha & theta brainwave states. Basically, this means that the sound vibrations shift your brain into a calmer state & help you experience a deeper meditation, profound relaxation, & healing.
Sound meditations are wonderful for all types of meditators but are especially good for beginners because the tones & frequencies give the mind something to hold onto. And so, the sounds of the singing bowls, instruments, etc... helps to cut through the mental chatter and quiet the mind down quite a bit.
